I am a Self taught Developer who has done Game Programming then pivoted to Web Development using powerful frameworks/libraries such as Angular and React. I approach everyday as a chance to improve my programming skills, to learn new frameworks, and to challenge myself.
A little more about me
Hosted allows you to book spaces and services, and/or plan events. You will be able to message the person in charge of the space or the person who is offering the service to get a feel of the space or person. From the messages, you can offer to purchase the space or pay the person for their services for a specific amount of time.
Authenication, Booking of Spaces and Services, Event Planning and who is interested or going, Messaging, Payments using Stripe, and listings of Spaces, Services, and Events
I learned how to create a messaging section and style it to look like a modern chat room, how to use Stripe more efficiently, and how to cache static files using Service Workers
Moment Web VR Viewer is a WebVR project that allows users to take the scenes they created in the Moment XR Application and view it in the Moment Web VR Viewer.
Take Unity3D data from Firebase and translate it to Three.js data to display the numerous scenes in the Web viewer.
I learned how to use Three.js and AFrame together. Before this project, I had no knowledge of WebVR frameworks such as AFrame. I also learned to translate Unity3D coordinates to Three.js coordinates since both technologies use different coordinate planes.
None - Myself
I decided to challenge myself and build a simple CLI application that will help other developers to start FEAN (Firebase, Express, Angular, and Node) based Web Applications. This CLI just pulls from my public github repo and changes up files and creates the directory with the name the user provided.
A dead simple CLI application that just does one action.
Since this was my first CLI application, I learned how to create a CLI application. The toughest part was just testing it out. I had accidentally created so many random directories (sometimes with and without the files that are supposed to be there) and forgot to delete them. I also learned that sometimes it can be simple to create a CLI application just using Node.js and its numerous available packages.
Hackathon - VideoHackDay3
This project was from a hackathon that I had previously won. Vimage is all about giving people the ability to create Augmented Reality Content. The user would record a 15 second video, upload it to Ziggeo's video servers and upload a target image to Amazon S3. From there the user would use the companion Mobile Application to view the video in AR.
I was able to work in a 3 man team and quickly build a Full Stack Web Application in only a day. I was able to also get the web app and mobile app to share data.
I learned that sometimes building Full Stack Applications in only a day can also be stressful. At the same time it was a fun experience. Something else I learned is that Teamwork can most definitely make the dream work.
The Glass Files is an application that allows you to keep your family history...or any history alive and digitized.
I was able to get data and photos from the Ruby API to display in the home screen, Authentication with the API, Uploading and creating posts from the mobile app.
I learned that communication between other developers is key especially when it comes to not knowing about the API source code and not knowing Ruby at all.
Portion is the art world's bridge into the new world of cryptocurrency. Through Portion’s smart contracts and distributed technology, the art market is liberated into a free market.
I was able to get the app server to communicate with AWS Lambada, Was able to work with peers to make sure the app was working the way it was designed.
I learned more about Cryptocurrency (specifically Ethereum) and how it works. I was able to work with Ethereum and got to create smart contracts.
Archetype is the backbone of the meme economy. Archetype allows anyone to create their own cryptographic tokens representing memes or any kind of information imaginable.
I was able to create a Timeline on the left side that moves to certain sections of the webpage, create a crystalized looking background in the first section of the home page, create an emailing subscription service, and the footer.
None - Myself
This project started off as a hackathon idea. A friend and I had come up with this idea then after the hackathon, we continued to work on it. This project was meant to help "Mom and Pops" shops with inventory. The mobile app companion would scan the item and update the time the item was updated. The web app side worked like an admin panel. It was meant for the users to see the statistics of the amount of items and which room had been last updated or scanned.
I was able to make the mobile app scan the item's QR code and update the timestamp on the web app, CRUD-ing items and rooms, and doing some data visualizing the items per room.
I learned a little more about data visualizing.
Utilizing SQL or NoSQL databases, Express, Angular or React, and Node.js I can create for you Powerful and Responsive Full Stack Web Applications.
Utilizing Ionic Framework or React Native, I can develop for you Powerful and Responsive Mobile Applications for Android and iOS.
Utilizing the Electron Framework, I can build for you Powerful and Responsive Native Software Applications.
